Five Logo Directions

1 comment:

  1. Of your two directions presented today (post asap!) #2 has the most personality and visual interest. I can't tell if the color is a dark brown or gray, but brown would be better suited to your company, although I still think exploring other color palettes would benefit you. I'm not sure the green is a strong enough primary color for your identity. The treatment you applied to the letterforms in #1 was nice, and matched nicely with the angular form of the house. However, it also softened the typeface (seems contradictory, but I assure you, it's true) which would be useful in #2 as well.

Make sure all your decisions are deliberate– the curves in the bulb need to support the g and S letters, and the rounded edge of the stem is not matched in the chopped off edge of the bulb. Get these unified, and the letterforms as well. Again, the typeface doesn't have me sold, other than the nice lowercase g. Experiment with other typefaces in this combination (perhaps the font used in the flower petal rough above). The lowercase e still stands out and needs attention.

Keep us posted on changes, etc! Let me know if you have more questions or concerns, and I'll do my best to address them!
